The Network for Women’s Rights in Ghana (NETRIGHT), a reputable national women’s rights and economic justice advocacy network, is urgently looking for committed gender and development professionals with practical working experience to join our team. NETRIGHT is an equal opportunity employer. We are specifically looking for candidates to apply for the position of Programme Officer.

General Description 

Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, the Programme Officer will be part of a team working on NETRIGHT programmes in its three (3) thematic areas, namely economic justice, movement building, and natural resources, including specific assigned roles. To be an excellent Programme Officer, you must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working in a multicultural environment, and with diverse teams. The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of programmes according to NETRIGHT’s standards. 

Responsibilities 

       i.          Proposal and Report Writing

     ii.          Project Coordination 

    iii.          Support the management of NETRIGHT working structures 

   iv.          Track and report on emerging national issues 

     v.          Support Network Growth and Programme Development 

Educational Qualifications And Experience

       i.          Master’s Degree in the social sciences or other related field with at least three (3) years working experience in the CSO space, or a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or other related field with at least five (5) years working experience in the CSO space. 

     ii.          Knowledge and experience of the women’s movement, women’s rights, and gender equality work in Ghana and beyond. 

    iii.          A background in gender studies would be an added advantage. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

       i.          Must be a strong team player. 

     ii.          Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. 

    iii.          Ability to work with little supervision. 

   iv.          Possesses good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to multitask. 

     v.          Ability to be creative and innovative. 

   vi.          Experience in networking, advocacy, and women’s mobilising 

  vii.          Demonstrate a strong interest in gender equality, social justice, women’s rights, and empowerment issues. 

viii.          Experience in project development and management, and resource mobilisation.

   ix.          Excellent presentation, public speaking, and writing skills. 

     x.          Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
