Alisa Hotel is seeking the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the position of receptionist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and assisting with check-in and check-out procedures. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in hotel guest services and excellent written and verbal communication skills. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
· The candidate will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and assisting with check-in and checkout procedures.
· The candidate will provide information about hotel services, amenities and local attractions.
· The candidate will be responsible for addressing guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and courteously.
· The candidate must ensure accurate and complete guest records are maintained.
· The candidate will be responsible for processing payments, issuing room keys, and managing billing and invoicing according to company policy.
· The candidate will answer phone calls, direct calls to appropriate departments, and take messages when necessary.
· The candidate must communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
· The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the lobby area and ensuring it is clean, well-organised and welcoming.
· The candidate will be responsible for handling guest complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate to management if needed.
· The candidate will be responsible for handling special requests and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Qualification
· Proven experience in hotel guest service
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Good interpersonal and coordination skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and organisation abilities
· Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
· The ability to speak an international language, preferably French, is desired
· Receptionists typically work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate guests’ schedules
· The role requires standing for extended periods and interacting with guests throughout the day
