Job Purpose: The plumber will ensure the proper functioning and installation of plumbing systems. The role will ensure the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components.

Areas of Responsibility include:

·                 Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements of plumbing systems.

·                 Install pipes, fixtures, and fittings, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas lines, according to the project's plans and specifications.

·                 Inspect and test plumbing systems to identify any defects, leaks, or malfunctions.

·                 Repair or replace damaged or faulty plumbing components, such as pipes, valves, faucets, and toilets.

·                 Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of plumbing systems and prevent potential issues.

·                 Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to plumbing installations.

·                 Implement appropriate safety measures to prevent accidents or injuries on the construction site.

·                 Coordinate with other tradespeople, project managers, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of plumbing tasks.

·                 Communicate any challenges, delays, or additional requirements to the project team or relevant stakeholders.

·                 Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details, repairs, and maintenance activities.

·                 Prepare and submit necessary documentation, such as progress reports, material requisitions, and inspection reports.

 

Experience and Education

·                 Valid plumbing license or certification.

·                 Proven experience as a plumber in a construction setting.

·                 In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.

·                 Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
