Lancaster University Ghana is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of a Graphic Designer / Media Designer. The ideal candidate will manage graphic design proposals from typesetting through to design, print, and production. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

       i.          Manage graphic design proposals from typesetting through to design, print, and production

     ii.          Brief and advise on design style, format, print production, and timescales

    iii.          Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites

   iv.          Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size

     v.          Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief

   vi.          Review layouts and suggest improvements

  vii.          Liaise with external printers regularly to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality

viii.          Leads the design of graphics, visualisations, and written documents suited to particular audiences and purposes

   ix.          Produces high-quality artwork appropriate for different media and technological constraints

     x.          Leads and is responsible for all photography and videography requirements of the institution

Requirement:

       i.          Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design or similar qualification. A First Degree will be an advantage

     ii.          Good knowledge of Web Designing, Photography, and Videography

    iii.          Good knowledge of industry-standard design software, such as InDesign or Illustrator, plus photo editing, including Photoshop

   iv.          Familiarity with online publication and web technologies (e.g., HTML + CSS)
