Job Purpose: The Account Officer is responsible for managing the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves handling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the financial operations of the company.

Areas of Responsibility include:

·                 Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.

·                 Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

·                 Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.

·                 Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

·                 Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

·                 Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

·                 Collaborate with auditors during financial audits.

·                 Provide financial insights and support management for decision-making.

 

Experience and Education

·                 BSc. Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.

·                 Membership with professional bodies such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is preferred.

·                 Minimum relevant working experience of 5 years in accounting or finance.

·                 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

·                 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
