Job Purpose: The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for customers or staff.
Areas of Responsibility include:
· Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes and menu guidelines.
· Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
· Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and work area.
· Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering food supplies.
· Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
· Assist in menu planning and development as needed.
Experience and Education
· WASSCE / Certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred.
· Relevant working experience in a kitchen environment.
· Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
· Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
