Job Purpose: The Metallurgist will provide crucial technical support to optimise our metallurgical processes and ensure efficient operation. The role holder will be responsible for developing and overseeing processes to analyse and extract gold minerals from their ores and refine them for use in various applications.

Areas of Responsibility include:

·                 Conduct daily metallurgical accounting inputs and produce daily reports.

·                 Liaise with external laboratories to ensure positive metallurgical test works.

·                 Manage all plant test work activities in external laboratories.

·                 Provide metallurgical support to the operations daily.

·                 Actively participate in continuous improvement programs, which will assist in enhancing the performance of the company’s process plant operations.

·                 Ensure that sampling techniques and preparation procedures are correct and by standard practices.

·                 Collaborate with the teams to deliver the monthly processing production plan and forecast.

·                 Ensure compliance with the Minerals Commission’s laws, Safety & Environmental policies, and procedures.

·                 Implement proactive risk management by recognising, analysing, and responding to risks in line with the Company’s standards.

 

Experience and Education

·                 Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Minerals Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.

·                 Knowledge of metallurgical accounting systems and the AMIRA Code of Practice.

·                 Five (5) years experience as a plant or project metallurgist.

·                 Must have a certificate of competence issued by the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission of Ghana as a Processing Supervisor/Engineer.

·                 Proficient in MS Office.

·                 Possess a valid Ghanaian Driving Licence and proficiency to drive a light vehicle.
