Job Purpose: The Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal parts to create or repair structures, machinery, and equipment. This role involves reading technical drawings, using specialised tools, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the final products.

Areas of Responsibility include:

·                 Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications.

·                 Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various tools and machinery.

·                 Perform welding, soldering, and other joining techniques as needed.

·                 Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.

·                 Maintain and repair metal structures and equipment.

·                 Operate and maintain fabrication tools and machinery.

·                 Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised workspace.

 

Experience and Education

·                 Certification or Diploma in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.

·                 A minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication or a similar role.

·                 Proficiency in welding and metalworking techniques.

·                 Strong knowledge of fabrication tools, machinery, and safety procedures.
