A reputable organisation in the mobility and utility sector is seeking a motivated and technically capable Software Developer (National Service) to join our team and support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of software applications and digital solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to build practical technology solutions that support business operations, improve efficiency and enhance the user experience across our products and internal processes. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world software development projects within a growing business environment. The following are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop, test, and maintain software applications and features based on business and technical requirements.

·       Write clean, efficient, maintainable and well-documented code.

·       Assist with the design and development of new features, APIs, and system integrations.

·       Debug and troubleshoot application issues and implement appropriate solutions.

·       Conduct testing to identify and resolve software defects before deployment.

·       Work with existing codebases and contribute to improvements, optimisation, and system enhancements.

·       Collaborate with other team members to understand requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions.

·       Maintain appropriate technical documentation for applications, features, and processes.

Required Qualifications

·       A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

·       Basic to intermediate proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, PHP, C#, or a similar language.

·       Experience with web or mobile application development is an advantage.

·       Good understanding of programming fundamentals and logical thinking.

·       Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.

·       Ability to receive and apply feedback constructively.
