On behalf of our client, we now invite applications from experienced professionals for the position of Cyber and Network Security Officer. The successful candidate designs, implements, and maintains secure network architecture (firewalls, VPNs, IDS.IPS, NAC, wireless security). The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Role Summary

The Cyber and Network Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the organisation's information systems, network infrastructure, and digital assets against cyber threats.

Job Responsibilities

Prioritised responsibilities of the Cyber and Network Security Officer include the following:

       i.          Design, implement, and maintain secure network architecture (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, wireless security).

     ii.          Configure and manage security devices such as FortiGate firewalls, routers, switches, and intrusion prevention systems.

    iii.          Respond to and manage cybersecurity incidents, including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.

   iv.          Conduct proactive threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.

     v.          Generate reports on network health, incident trends, and security posture for management.

   vi.          Provide guidance on secure system usage and emerging threats (e.g., phishing, ransomware).

  vii.          Monitor network traffic and security logs to detect anomalies and potential threats.

Education, professional qualifications and experience required

       i.          Minimum of 3 years of relevant network administration and cybersecurity operations.

     ii.          Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Preferred relevant certifications are:

      i.          Security+: CEH, CISSP, CISM, or CISA Network Security: CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE

    ii.          Cloud/Other: Microsoft SC-200, AWS/ Azure Security certifications
