eTranzact Plc is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of a Backend Developer. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that power payment processing and financial services. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Key Responsibilities

·       Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that power payment processing and financial services

·       Build and optimise payment integrations for card transactions, POS, bank transfers, bill payments, and digital wallets

·       Develop APIs for agent onboarding, KYC verification, commissions, terminal management, and settlement

·       Design and maintain databases, transaction ledgers, reconciliation services, and event-driven systems, ensuring data integrity and security

·       Write automated tests, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure system reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

·       3-5 years of backend development experience using C#, Node.js, Java, or Python.

·       Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, MSSQL, Redis, and message queues such as Azure Service Bus.
