Job Purpose

To provide technical and operational support to the Agribusiness Unit by managing credit origination processes, conducting impact assessments, and contributing to the evaluation, monitoring, and development of agricultural value chains and projects for GIRSAL’s interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

       i.          Manage and update the pipeline database of credit risk guarantee (CRG), pre-application assessments(PAA), and Technical Assistance Service (TAS) applications, and provide weekly reports to the Head of Agribusiness.

     ii.          Support the credit origination processes; i.e., evaluation, and preparation of credit papers for review and approval, as well as prepare PAA, Technical, and credit reports for review and approval.

    iii.          Conduct project impact assessments, profile value chains, and provide technical input for funding and business proposals.

   iv.          Participate in field visits and monitor supported projects, identifying risks and proposing mitigation measures.

     v.          Contribute to strategy development, technical assistance delivery, and preparation of Monitoring & Evaluation reports for development partners.

   vi.          Carry out other duties assigned by the Head of Agribusiness.

Qualifications

       i.          Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

     ii.          Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in agribusiness, agricultural finance, project evaluation, or related areas

    iii.          Strong knowledge of agricultural value chains, risk assessment, and project impact analysis.

   iv.          Experience in stakeholder engagement, reporting, and field monitoring.
