A reputable company is seeking the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the Sales Assistant position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers in selecting products, maintaining the store, and ensuring smooth operations within the shop. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
i. The candidate will greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
ii. The candidate will be responsible for guiding customers in finding books, stationery, and other products based on their needs.
iii. The candidate will be responsible for providing detailed information about product features, benefits, and availability.
iv. The candidate will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately using the point of sale (POS) system.
v. The candidate must maintain stock levels by replenishing shelves and organizing products.
vi. The candidate must ensure the store is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
vii. The candidate will handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
viii. The candidate will assist with inventory management and restocking shelves.
ix. The candidate will participate in promotional activities and events as directed by management.
x. The candidate will work as part of a team to meet and exceed sales targets.
Qualifications & Requirements:
i. Minimum qualification: SHS graduate, Diploma holders, or equivalent.
ii. Previous experience in retail or sales is an advantage, but not mandatory.
iii. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
iv. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
v. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
vi. Positive attitude, motivated, and eager to learn.
vii. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
