MHT is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of a Reporting Officer. MHT delivers innovative and responsible digital lending solutions to individuals and MSMEs on mobile money platforms across Ghana. We connect local and global capital to Ghana's digital lending ecosystem, enabling funders to engage in West Africa's vibrant financial market.
The Credit and Reporting Officer will be responsible for managing MHT's credit processes, tracking portfolio performance against prudential norms, and maintaining compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. The role combines credit risk oversight with accurate and timely financial and operational reporting to support decision-making and regulatory compliance. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Key Responsibilities

Credit Management

·       Assess and monitor credit risk exposure across the loan portfolio. Ensure credit policies and procedures align with Bank of Ghana (BOG) regulations and internal risk management frameworks.

·       Track and report on Portfolio-at-Risk (PAR), NPLs, loan loss provisions, recoveries, and other indicators.

·       Perform reconciliation, data validation, and QA on the loan data, including but not limited to KYC and loan transactions.

·       Prepare loan performance reviews, including delinquency analysis and recovery processes.

·       Collaborate with partners to ensure lending practices meet governance, compliance, and performance standards.

·       Implement initiatives to enhance credit management efficiently.

Reporting & Regulatory Compliance

·       Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual prudential returns to the Bank of Ghana and other institutions within stipulated timelines.

·       Maintain accuracy of statutory reports, including capital adequacy, liquidity, and asset quality metrics.

·       Consolidate operational and financial data for management and Board reporting.

·       Develop internal dashboards to track credit performance, disbursement trends, and borrower profiles.
