Job Title: Coordinator, Operations and Finance
Reports To: Associate Director, Ashesi Entrepreneurship Center
Job Summary:
The Operations and Finance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all financial and operational activities at the Ashesi Centre for Entrepreneurship. This role ensures effective resource management, adherence to financial policies, and smooth administrative processes to support the Center’s programs. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in financial oversight and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Monitor spending, analyze financial performance, and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
- Develop budget proposals, funding requests, and cost projections to support strategic decisions and ensure annual budgets align with program objectives.
- Reconcile financial records, process payments, and manage invoices in accordance with established policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify cost-saving measures and revenue opportunities while resolving discrepancies promptly.
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and implement systems to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Manage logistics for events, travel, and team activities, ensuring all are executed on schedule.
- Maintain organized records of operational procedures, policies, and workflows.
Resource Allocation & Reporting:
- Coordinate the allocation of resources—including workspace, tools, and funding—to support the Center’s programs.
- Monitor resource utilization and program performance to ensure accountability and drive optimization.
- Prepare comprehensive quarterly and annual reports on operational and financial performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial management, operations, or program coordination, preferably within non-profits, education, or entrepreneurship sectors
- Proven expertise in budget management, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to challenges.
