Job Summary
The service of Chinese Translator is urgently needed for immediate employment. Primarily, the selected candidate will report to the assigned supervisor in charge and he or she will be responsible for translating and interpreting oral and verbal Chinese language into English [and Twi, where applicable] while retaining the core ideas and information from the original source.
• Minimum Qualification: HND
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 3 years
Job Description/Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Translates Chinese intermediate to advanced level printed materials into English Language
• You will assist with communication between local staff and Chinese-speaking staff.
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone from source.
• You will be required to perform any other task assigned to you by your supervisor.
Requirement:
• Academic certificate in any field of study] is not a must but added advantage.
• Candidate who is fluent in local language precisely Twi will be given upper edge [favourable advantage].
• Must have a solid understanding of computers with experience in the application and use of Microsoft Office and other basic software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Give attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
He or she may be assigned to any department where his or her service will be needed and may be rotated to different unit at any given time. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and to work in a rural area setting.
