Supervisor: Executive  Director

Country of Assignment : Ghana  Directorate : West Africa

Place of Assignment : Accra  Supervisor’s Seat : Accra

       i.          Monitor the transfer of funds to receive ongoing funding and their effective allocation to the programs concerned Inform the Executive Director of activities according to AJI’ financial procedures

     ii.          Send to the Province Office the financial information according to the mechanisms and formats defined

    iii.          Develop consolidated AJI Ghanan financial reports, plans and monitoring plans

   iv.          Participation in AJI coordination meetings and AJI Ghana national meetings

     v.          Ensure continued compliance with contractual, legal and financial regulatory compliance requirements concerning donors.

   vi.          Follow up on recommendations arising from visits and verification of accounts by donors or their representatives.

  vii.          Prepare and monitor external audits of donors.

viii.          Monitor and follow supply contracts.

   ix.          Prepare financial reports for internal management purposes and for external donors

     x.          Submit monthly for approval, AJI budget follow-ups to the Executive Director before their transmission to the Province Office.

   xi.          Check that the bank balances correspond to the NAVISON balances as well as the cash balances by the 5th of the following month at the latest.

Required Profile

Qualification

       i.          An MSc/MBA in a relevant field

     ii.          BSc/BA/HND in a relevant field

    iii.          Membership of a relevant Professional Body.

Experience and Skills

       i.          At least Eight (5) years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit in an INGO/NNGO with at least 3 years working at a supervisory role.

     ii.          A minimum of 3 years’ experience in grant financial management with donor-funded projects in Ghana.

    iii.          At least 4 years of practical work experience in managing financial and administrative systems for donor funded projects.

   iv.          Experience with Navision Accounting software is preferred or any other accounting software

     v.          Should have good analytical skills

   vi.          Accounting skills and Financial Modeling

  vii.          Cash flow management and Data management

viii.          Excellent written and oral communication skills
