A reputable company located in Tema, Ghana, is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of a Finance Officer. The successful candidate will provide accurate and reliable financial statements. The ideal candidate must have strong report-writing skills and basic presentation skills. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Roles and Responsibilities
i. Provision of accurate and reliable financial statements from time to time.
ii. Preparation of the Company’s Budget, Forecasts, and cashflow projections annually, monthly, and weekly, and preparation of Variance Reporting to the management.
iii. Prompt preparation of the Monthly Management Account (Statement of Comprehensive Income &Statement of Financial Position & Cashflow Statement) with detailed analysis to Management.
iv. General Ledger management and maintenance of accounts processes, including supervision of coding of transactions and posting to the appropriate ledgers.
v. Engage in Financial Modelling and Analysis and present period reports to the management.
vi. Liquidity/Working Capital Management (i.e., Current Assets and Current Liabilities) daily and reporting to Management.
vii. Ensuring that appropriate systems and financial controls are set, implemented, and monitored.
viii. Establishment of documented standards and procedures in finance operations and ensure compliance.
ix. Coordinates and ensures timely preparation/rendition of statutory returns to GRA and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
i. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
ii. Good knowledge of Accounting Software (Tally, Sage, Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics, etc).
iii. Strong report writing skills.
iv. Basic presentation skills.
Education & Certifications
i. BSc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
ii. Professional certification in accounting is a plus.
Experience
i. Minimum of 5 years working as an Accountant
