Meridian Max Industries is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking and results-oriented individuals for the position of Accounts Officer. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of financial and accounting practices. The candidate will be responsible for educating users on new technologies, software and security protocols. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
· The candidate will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions in accounting software.
· The candidate will manage accounts payable and receivable
· The candidate will be responsible for preparing invoices, receipts and payment vouchers
· The candidate will be responsible for handling bank deposits, withdrawals and transfers
· The candidate will reconcile bank statements with company records
· The candidate must ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions
Qualification
· HND/Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
· Proven work experience as an Accounts Officer or similar
· Strong understanding of financial and accounting practices
· Familiarity with financial software
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Good understanding of financial laws
· Outstanding analytical and numerical abilities
