Graduate Trainee Opportunities
We are seeking graduates in the following disciplines:
· Agricultural Extension
· Agronomy
· Agribusiness
· Agriculture or related agricultural programmes
Eligibility
Applicants must:
· Hold a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Agribusiness or a related field.
· Have completed National Service in 2024, 2025 or be currently undertaking National Service and expected to complete in 2026.
· Be willing to travel extensively and work in rural farming communities.
· Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
· Have a strong interest in agriculture, farmer development and the cashew value chain.
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Areas of Assignment
Successful candidates should be prepared to work in any of the following operational regions:
· Bono Region
· Ahafo Region
· Bono East Region
· Savannah Region
· North East Region
· Upper West Region
· Upper East Region
Candidates must be willing and ready to accept postings to any of these regions based on operational requirements.
Applicants who are natives of, have previously lived or worked in these regions, or can communicate effectively in the predominant local languages spoken within these operational areas will have an added advantage. This will facilitate effective engagement with farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Successful Graduate Trainees will receive structured training while supporting the company's field operations. Responsibilities include:
· Work closely with cashew farmers, farmer groups and cooperatives to improve farm productivity and sustainability.
· Deliver extension services, technical advice and practical training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
· Organise farmer meetings, demonstrations and capacity-building programmes.
· Monitor farm activities and provide recommendations on crop health, pest and disease management, pruning, nutrition and orchard management.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, associations and community stakeholders.
· Collect, analyse and prepare field data and reports to support business decisions.
· Support farmer registration, mapping and traceability initiatives.
· Assist in sourcing quality raw cashew nuts from farmers and aggregators.
· Conduct preliminary quality assessment and analysis of raw cashew nuts, including moisture content, nut count, outturn estimation and defect identification.
· Support quality assurance teams to ensure purchased cashew meets company and export standards.
· Participate in harvest monitoring, procurement activities and farmer support programmes.
· Perform any other duties assigned as part of the Graduate Trainee Programme.
