Forewin is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of Documentation Officer. The Documentation Officer ensures accurate and timely preparation, review, and management of import/export documentation, compliance with regulations, and efficient clearance of goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing shipment documents and ensuring compliance with Ghanaian regulations. The following are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;
Key Responsibilities:
i. Documentation Preparation & Processing: Prepare shipment documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.).
ii. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ghanaian regulatory agencies (GRA, FDA, EPA, etc.).
iii. Timely Submissions: Submit documents within 12 hours and track deadlines.
iv. Data Management & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of shipment documents.
v. Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with agents and internal departments.
vi. Incident Reporting: Log and escalate issues within 30 minutes.
vii. Permit Management: Assist in applying for and renewing permits.
viii. Support Duties: Support logistics and supply chain tasks.
Key Competencies:
i. Attention to detail and accuracy
ii. Organizational and time-management skills -Proficiency in ICUMS and Microsoft Office
iii. Good communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications & Experience:
i. HND/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related
ii. Field
iii. 2+ years' experience in logistics documentation (FMCG/shipping environment preferred)
iv. Working knowledge of customs and shipping documentation processes in Ghana
v. Good written and verbal communication skills
