Fast Pace Transfer is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and highly skilled individuals for the position of Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, risk management, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in providing accurate financial records, optimizing accounting processes, and supporting strategic financial decisions. The successful candidate will develop and manage budgets and economic models to support business decisions. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Key Responsibilities:

       i.          Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.  

     ii.          Monitor KPIs and financial performance against business objectives.  

    iii.          Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).  

   iv.          Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and FinTech regulations (e.g., AML, KYC).  

     v.          Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.  

   vi.          Optimize working capital and liquidity management.  

  vii.          Oversee payment processing, reconciliations, and fintech transaction monitoring.  

viii.          Manage relationships with banks, payment processors, and financial institutions.  

   ix.          Implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.  

     x.          Monitor fraud prevention measures in collaboration with the tech and compliance teams.  

   xi.          Prepare compliance reports as required by regulators such as the BOG

  xii.          Evaluate investment opportunities.  

xiii.          Partner with product and growth teams to assess the profitability of new initiatives.  

Qualifications & Skills:

       i.          Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

     ii.          Professional certification required (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CPA)  

    iii.          7+ years’ experience with at least 4 years in FinTech, payments, or banking. 

   iv.          Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.  

     v.          Knowledge of FinTech ecosystems 

   vi.          High attention to detail.  

  vii.          Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.  

viii.          Excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.  

   ix.          Excellent with financial analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

     x.          Adaptability in a high-growth, regulatory-heavy industry.
