HDG Homes is seeking the services of a qualified, hardworking, and experienced Procurement Manager. The ideal candidate will develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
i. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
ii. Identify, evaluate, and prequalify reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and service-level agreements with vendors to ensure favorable terms
iii. Continuously monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of construction materials
iv. Ensure procurement activities comply with the company, polices, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
v. Lead and supervise the procurement team, providing training and mentorship where needed
vi. Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, including tender documents, contracts, and supplier information
Qualification
i. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Construction Economics, or related field
ii. Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, PMP, or equivalent (preferred)
iii. Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience with at least 3 years in the real estate/construction industry
iv. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
v. Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
vi. A keen eye for detail
