SBP Africa is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of an Inventory Officer. The Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate records of all farm stock items excluding eggs. This includes feed, medications, vaccines, equipment, spare parts, packaging materials, and general consumables. The role ensures timely availability of items, prevents stockouts, and maintains proper documentation to support efficient farm operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock items. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Key Responsibilities:
i. Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock items (feed, medications, vaccines, equipment, tools, and other consumables).
ii. Monitor stock levels regularly and prepare reorder requests to avoid shortages.
iii. Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
i. Diploma or degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
ii. Experience in inventory management, preferably in an agricultural or farm setting
iii. Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
iv. Knowledge of inventory software systems (e.g., ERP, Excel-based tracking). Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
v. Good communication and teamwork skills.
