Peswa Finance is seeking the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the Data Scientist position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with statistics, mathematics and data science programming languages. The ideal candidate will lead the developing efforts of new innovative algorithms based on various ML and AI techniques. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the developing efforts of new innovative algorithms based on various ML and AI techniques.
- Create, own and support the credit and fraud models developed based on these algorithms.
- Responsible for the overall development of our next-gen risk products.
- Build generic models and scoring processes.
- Support automatic processes including monitoring and maintenance of model calibration, validation, etc.
- Assist in the end-to-end credit risk modelling process.
- Assist in regular data analysis and reporting of credit models to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to deliver an end-to-end credit risk modelling process.
Basic Qualifications
- Experienced in end-to-end credit or fraud model development.
- 3+ years of experience working as a data scientist.
- Independent and adaptive learner that can work alone and in teams.
- Proficient in scripting and programming skills, in Python, Java, R, etc.
- Relevant quantitative Degree (BSc) such as Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or similar disciplines.
- Good statistics skills and understanding of distributions, statistical testing, statistical models, etc.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Msc. Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or similar disciplines.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau/ powerBI.
- Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study.
