A reputable Logistics Company is looking for a suitably qualified person for the position of Procurement Officer.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of equipment, spare parts, and services for our equipment rental company. The Procurement Officer will work closely with various departments to ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing and Procurement: Source and procure equipment, spare parts, and services from suppliers and vendors.

2. Tendering and Negotiation: Prepare and issue tenders, negotiate contracts, and agree on prices and terms with suppliers.

3. Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and ensure that suppliers meet the company's standards.

4. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of equipment and spare parts to ensure that they are adequate to meet customer demand.

5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and ensure that procurement activities are within budget.

6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all procurement activities are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and identify and mitigate any potential risks.

7. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

3. Certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is an added advantage.

4. Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
