Sanlam Allianz, a multinational company with a combined experience of over 200 years where “People” constitute the strongest pillar in the architecture of our business, seeks the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the position of Claims and Recoveries Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day processing and administration of claims and recovery operations within the company, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance to support the achievement of the department’s objectives, leading to sustained profitability. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will assist in the assessment, verification and processing of life insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.

·       The candidate must ensure that all claims documentation is complete and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.

·       The candidate will be responsible for communicating with claimants, beneficiaries and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide up to dates on the claim status

·       The candidate will assist in resolving claims-related issues and disputes, escalating complex cases to the Head of Claims and Recoveries as needed.

·       The candidate will be responsible for supporting the recovery process by identifying outstanding debts and initiating recovery actions.

·       The candidate will work closely with the recovery team to track and follow up on pending recoveries, ensuring timely collation.

·       The candidate will be responsible for generating and analysing reports on claims processing and recovery performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

·       The candidate must ensure that all data is handled securely and by data protection regulations.

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics or a related field

·       CII Ghana or CII UK certification is an added advantage

·       Between 3-5 years of work experience

·       Proven professionalism and ethical standards

·       Deep understanding of claims and recovery practices, risk assessment

·       Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a focus on data-driven insights and risk management

·       In-depth knowledge of relevant insurance regularities  and compliance requirements

·       Ability to plan, coordinate and follow up on to-do list

·       Capability to address and resolve conflicts among colleagues

·       Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal departments and external partners

·       Complex problem-solving and decision-making skills

·       Apply the knowledge of various insurance products

·       Strong interpersonal and coordination skills

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Attention to detail
