Dalalsteel seeks the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the position of Site/Construction Engineer. The ideal candidate will work with civil engineers, structural engineers, architects and surveyors to ensure that building sites are fit for purpose. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing parts of the construction projects or overseeing construction work. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will manage parts of construction projects

·       The candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction work

·       The candidate will undertake surveys

·       The candidate will be responsible for checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and ensuring that they are followed correctly.

·       The candidate must ensure that health and safety policies and legislation are adhered to

·       The candidate will be responsible for ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications.

·       The candidate must maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

·       The candidate will be responsible for determining and presenting estimates of operating costs.

·       The candidate will be responsible for implementing improvements to designs and processes

Qualification

·       HND/Bachelor’s Degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building or a related field

·       State-issued certification or engineering license

·       Knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction and design

·       Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software

·       Familiarity with scientific analysis software and graphics and map creation software

·       Record of managing personnel and material resources

·       Critical thinking, analytical and complex problem-solving

·       Dedicated to learning new concepts and strategies
