Position Summary

We are looking for Admin & Operations Assistants to join our team and support the efficient day-to-day functioning of Merdeo Foods. These roles are critical in ensuring smooth administrative and operational processes to help us achieve our goals, including the target of 1 million Ghana Cedis in revenue. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fresh produce and agribusiness sector.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  1. Assist in managing schedules, emails, and communications for the core team.
  2. Maintain accurate records and filing systems for clients, suppliers, and transactions.
  3. Prepare reports, presentations, and documents as directed by the leadership.
  4. Handle general office tasks, such as procuring supplies and coordinating meetings.

Operational Support

  1. Coordinate logistics for fresh produce deliveries, including scheduling transportation and tracking shipments.
  2. Support inventory management by assisting in stock-taking and monitoring produce quality.
  3. Communicate with farmers, clients, and drivers to ensure seamless operations.
  4. Record and report data on deliveries, client feedback, and operational performance.

General Assistance

  1. Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.
  2. Support cross-functional collaboration between the administrative and operations teams.
  3. Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed by the core team.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Minimum of a high school diploma; a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage.
  2. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  3. Previous experience in an administrative or operational role is a plus but not required.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  3. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Conditions
