About Venture Nest
Venture Nest is an innovation hub in Osu, Accra, powered by Boxplay Ventures. We host the founder-focused programmes ( like VNIP, Back2Basics, and In the Box), community events, and ecosystem activities that support ambitious African entrepreneurs. We're looking for an Operations & Admin Manager who can run the hub AND help keep it busy - someone who enjoys operations, talking to people and taking initiative.
What You'll be Doing
You will:
Make sure the hub runs smoothly day-to-day:
i. Open, clean, and ready Monday-Friday
ii. Meeting rooms and event spaces are set up
iii. Utilities, vendors, and small issues are handled quickly
Support programmes and events:
i. Help plan and execute logistics for trainings, meetups, masterclasses, and pitch events
ii. Manage registrations, check-in, and basic on-the-day needs
Drive sales and space activation:
i. Respond to event/space enquiries (email, WhatsApp, walk-ins)
ii. Keep a simple pipeline of bookings and leads
iii. Follow up with potential clients and help convert them into paying users
iv. Suggest ideas and light-weight activities to keep the space active, not empty
Handle basic admin and records:
i. Maintain petty cash and simple records of inflows/outflows
ii. Support with utilities and small vendor payments
iii. Help keep key documents and receipts organised for future accounting and reporting
Support visibility and marketing:
i. Share good photos and information from events with the content team
ii. Help showcase the space as a great venue for founders, partners and organisations
You're a Good Fit if You
i. Have 2+ years experience in operations, admin, office or space management (co-working, NGO, training centre, etc.).
ii. Like being the person who makes things work on the ground.
iii. Are comfortable talking to people and following up on enquiries (you're not shy about sending a reminder or closing a booking).
iv. Are organised with basic digital tools (Google Docs, Sheets, email, calendar).
v. Can handle simple money-related tasks responsibly (petty cash, basic expense tracking).
vi. Are proactive: if the space is quiet, you're thinking "how do we fill it?" not "nice, let me relax:·
vii. Experience in a hub, co-working space, NGO programme or startup environment is a bonus, but not required if you are a quick learner and hands-on.
