Accra Institute of Technology seeks the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for an Operations Manager or Officer position. The ideal candidate will oversee and streamline critical operational areas, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and utilization of facilities and infrastructure on our various campuses, ensuring they are safe and functional.

·       The candidate must ensure optimal management and allocation of institutional facilities, resources, and assets.

·       The candidate will be responsible for implementing the university’s operational protocols and standard operating.

·       The candidate will be handling procedures for effective asset tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle management.

·       The candidate will be responsible for coordinating routine inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

·       The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

·       The candidate will be responsible for monitoring budget and expenditures related to property and resource management.

·       The candidate will manage university-owned properties, including leasing, repairs, and renovations.

·       The candidate will handle vendor contracts and relationships related to property and facility management operations and services.

·       The candidate will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs.

Qualification

·       HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management or other related fields

·       A minimum of 4-5 years  of work experience in operations management, preferably within the education, corporate, or public sector

·       Proven experience managing facilities, assets, properties, and vehicle fleets

·       Strong knowledge of operational best practices, asset management systems, and risk management framework
