St John of God Hospital, Amrahia is seeking to employ a passionate and hardworking individual for the position of a Sonographer. The ideal candidate should be able to perform ultrasound procedures and report on the ultrasound findings as well. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in working as a sonographer. The vision of St John of God Hospital is to be a Hospitality driven province with centers of excellence in the development and delivery of quality health care service to meet the needs of the population in area of Education, Physical Health, Mental Health, Rehabilitative and Public Health. Responsibilities
· Candidate will thoroughly explain how and why a particular procedure is being done for a client or patient.
· Candidate will make sure patients and clients are were prepared before examinations are conducted.
· Candidate will perform numerous ultrasound procedures for instance Abdominopelvic Scans, Scrotal Scans and many other procedures.
· Candidate will be responsible for generating reports for the ultrasound findings.
· Candidate must be able to identify normal and abnormal imaging findings.
Qualification
· Bachelor’s Degree in Sonography, Medical Ultrasound or equivalent
· Applicant has to be a Registered Sonography in Ghana
· Proven experience as a sonographer or equivalent
· Ability to use ultrasound equipment and generate results from the findings
· Ability to thoroughly explain ultrasound results
