Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Officer with a strong focus on Product Development within the IT industry. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying market opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation, and developing strategies that align product offerings with market demands. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technology solutions, ensuring that products are developed to meet both market needs and the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Market Research & Opportunity Identification: Conduct detailed market analysis, competitor research, and industry trend assessments to identify emerging opportunities in the IT field.

·       Product Development Strategy: Collaborate with the product development team to define the roadmap for new and existing products, aligning with customer needs and market demands.

·       Partnership Development: Build strategic partnerships with key players in the industry

·       (vendors, technology providers, etc.) to enhance product offerings and drive business growth.

·       Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment between business strategy and product development.

·       Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Gather and analyze feedback from customers, partners, and stakeholders to refine product features, user experience, and functionality.

·       Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches, working with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful execution.

·       Revenue Growth: Identify and execute strategies to drive product-based revenue growth, focusing on expanding market share and improving customer acquisition.

·       Business Case Development: Develop and present business cases for new product initiatives, including ROI analysis, risk assessment, and resource allocation.

·       KPIs & Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement adjustments to improve product-market fit and profitability.

·       Innovation & Trends: Stay updated on technological advancements and industry shifts to help position the company as a leader in the IT product development space.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

·       MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

·       At least three (3) years of experience in business development, product strategy, or

·       product management within the IT or technology sector.

·       Proven track record of successful product development strategies and business

·       growth.

·       Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

·       Strong understanding of software development, IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, AI, IoT).

·       Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and build data-driven business cases.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead

·       cross-functional teams.

·       Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development processes.

·       Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Experience in IT product development lifecycle management.

·       Certification in product management or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PSPO).

·       Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders and partners.
