Datacom Telecommunications Ltd is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of an Assistant Network Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, planning, and management of fiber optic network infrastructure, including FTTX GPON networks. The following are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Requirements

·       Assist in the design, planning and management of fiber optic network infrastructure, including FFTX GPON networks.

·       Configure and provision network equipment such as OLTS, routers, and switches.

·       Provide technical support during network deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

·       Monitor network performance and resolve issues to ensure reliability and uptime.

·       Support the management of IP infrastructure and network operations.

·       Monitor data center operations and provide general IT support as required.

Qualification/Experience

·       Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

·       Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or related cloud networking certification is an advantage.

·       Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration, IT infrastructure support, or a similar technical role.

·       An understanding of basic power/electrical installation is an advantage.
