Forest Hotel is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of Housekeeping Manager. A Housekeeping Manager oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the house. The role includes supervising the staff on cleaning, laundry, stocking supplies, and ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for occupants. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

       i.          Manage Housekeeping Staff: Lead and manage a team of housekeepers, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and effectively. This includes training new staff and providing ongoing development opportunities.

     ii.          Maintain Cleanliness Standards: Ensure the hotel premises are clean, sanitize rooms and bathrooms, and conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's cleanliness standards. Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries.

    iii.          Report maintenance issues or damages to be addressed promptly to maintain guest satisfaction and follow health and safety regulations to ensure a clean environment.

   iv.          Manage Inventory and Supplies: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering new stock as necessary to ensure the housekeeping department is always well-equipped.

     v.          Create Work Schedules: Plan and schedule daily tasks for the housekeeping team, ensuring optimal coverage and efficient task completion, including supplying amenities to guests.

   vi.          Coordinate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

  vii.          Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hotel brand standards.


Qualifications & Skills:

       i.          H.N.D./Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent (preferred).

     ii.          Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    iii.          Management experience and proven ability to lead a team are crucial.

   iv.          Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred but not required).

     v.          Knowledge of cleaning products and procedures.

   vi.          Attention to detail and time management skills.

  vii.          Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

viii.          Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
