Sommalife is seeking qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of Cargo Truck Driver. The successful candidate must ensure the timely pick-up and delivery of commodities to warehouses and clients, adhering to delivery schedules. The ideal candidate must have a valid Ghanaian driver’s license (Class D or higher) with a clean driving record. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

       i.          Ensure the timely pick-up and delivery of commodities to warehouses and clients, adhering to delivery schedules.

     ii.          Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to maintain commodity quality.

    iii.          Operate cargo trucks in compliance with Ghanaian traffic regulations and company safety policies.

Requirements

       i.          Minimum of a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) or equivalent.

     ii.          Minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience, preferably with cargo trucks or heavy-duty vehicles.

    iii.          Valid Ghanaian driver's license (Class D or higher) with a clean driving record.

   iv.          Proven ability to operate and maintain cargo trucks safely and efficiently.

     v.          Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues.

   vi.          Good communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with farmer groups and field agents.

  vii.          Ability to read and write in English; proficiency in local languages spoken in the Northern Regions (e.g., Dagbani, Gonja, or Mampruli) is an advantage.

viii.          Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules.
