Unique Floral is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of an Accountant. The successful candidate will prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments are made. The ideal candidate should be willing to work long hours and work well under pressure. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
i. Prepare and examine financial statements to ensure accuracy.
ii. Maintain and update financial records, including invoices and receipts
iii. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings
iv. Reconcile bank statements and balance financial records
v. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
vi. Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments
vii. Collaborate with internal teams to support financial planning and analysis
viii. Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices
ix. Identify discrepancies and recommend ways to improve financial processes
Qualification
i. Be willing to work long hours and work well under pressure
ii. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
iii. The ability to learn company-specific software if required
iv. Demonstrate excellent use of Microsoft Office (ie, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
