Deon & Noed International, a manufacturing company based in Accra, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements,  i.e preparing monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and full-year management accounts for the company. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Job Summary
Reporting to the Finance Director, the qualifying candidate will work closely with other members of the Accounts department in providing timely, accurate, informative, and reliable information for control, performance evaluation and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

·       Accurate and timely preparation of Financial Statements: i.e., preparing monthly, quarterly. half-yearly and full-year management accounts for the company

·       Budget planning and preparation

·       Budgetary control

·       Regular review of product costing/pricing

·       Supervising and/or ensuring timely and accurate monthly inventory accounting and reconciliation

·       Supervising and/or ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, including the preparation and submission of monthly statutory returns

·       Assisting in the training and development of other team members

·       Liaising with external stakeholders such as statutory agencies and Auditors

·       Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Competencies, Qualifications and Requirements

·       Must possess a professional accounting qualification, e.g. CIMA, ACCA and ICA (preferably, Fully-Qualified or at the Final Stage) and have at least, five (5) years of strong, progressive and relevant experience

·       Management Accountants (CIMA) are strongly encouraged to apply and will have an added advantage

·       Rich experience in a manufacturing environment and firm understanding of manufacturing accounts will be an added advantage

·       Professional attitude with excellent attention to detail, ability to critically analyse and interpret data, thinking outside the box, and deadline-oriented are essential

·       Team player who can work effectively with departmental colleagues and other business lines of the organization

·       Proficiency in the use of accounting software, preferably. Sage Accpac, will be an added advantage

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

·       Self-motivated and ability to work effectively without direct supervision

·       Ability to work under pressure and for long hours with time constraints and set work priorities

·       The ideal candidate must not be more than 45 years old

Remuneration

Attractive, but negotiable salary based on relevant qualifications and work experience.
