A reputable retail company is seeking a friendly, reliable,  qualified, and detail-oriented Cashier for immediate employment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude and handling cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and other payment methods. The ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. The following are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Responsibilities

       i.          The candidate will greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude

     ii.          The candidate will accurately scan, price, and process customer purchases using POS systems

    iii.          The candidate will handle cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and other payment methods

   iv.          The candidate will issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, or credits as needed

     v.          The candidate will count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy

   vi.          The candidate will maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area

  vii.          The candidate will be responsible for assisting in resolving customer complaints in a professional manner

viii.          The candidate will collaborate with team members and support floor operations when needed

Qualification

       i.          Diploma/Degree (Accounting), BSc (Admin) or related field

     ii.          Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus

    iii.          Basic math and computer skills

   iv.          Excellent communication and customer service abilities

     v.          Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

   vi.          Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Work Environment

       i.          Fast-paced retail setting

     ii.          Interaction with a diverse range of customers and team members

    iii.          Might work on weekends and holidays, depending on shift
