The successful candidate will join our team as the Head of Mobile Financial Services in the Finance Department. This position will report to the Director of Treasury and will be responsible for effectively safeguarding all mobile financial services (MFS) cash and e-money. The Head of MFS Finance will also ensure that risks are managed efficiently through internal controls, adherence to adopted GSMA codes, and compliance with the delegation of authority matrix. Additionally, this role will focus on ensuring that all MFS finance projects achieve cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

i.          Develop tools to monitor and safeguard all MFS cash.

ii.          Partner and provide strategic input into all finance impacting decisions.

iii.          Design, review and drive all MFs finance processes to always ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

iv.          Drive the automation of all processes.

v.          Champion the adherence to all MFS controls

vi.          Partner with Banks to select and manage cashiers and ensure SLAs are always adhered to and relevant.

vii.          Partner the MFS operations to ensure all Bank and Merchant SLAs are duly met.

viii.          Support the MFS operations team to manage all partner bank projects.

ix.          Manage Partner bank relationships for optimal value.

x.          Always lead and ensure a clean 3-way reconciliation.

xi.          Train all cashiers and stakeholders to ensure up to standard reports for accounting purposes.

xii.          Understand, manage and supervise all aspects of Customer service centers’ cash flow.

xiii.          Develop tools to monitor and ensure timely settlement of all merchants and payment of revenues to AT.

xiv.          Partner with Revenue Assurance to ensure no revenue leakage.

xv.          Champion the compliance to all regulatory and adopted GSMA requirements including reporting.

xvi.          Lead market research and support product launches.

xvii.           Review all General Ledger entries to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness.

xviii.          Lead the support to both internal and external auditors in all audit processes.

xix.           Any other duties assigned by the Treasury Director.

 

Required Qualification and Experience

i.          A minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or its equivalent from a recognized University.

ii.          ACCA/ACCE/CA/CIMA.

iii.          A minimum of 5years relevant experience in corporate treasury functions preferably with multinationals company exposure.

iv.          Post graduate degree in Finance or Economics will be an added advantage.

v.          Relevant Audit processing knowledge

vi.          Good Company and Industry Knowledge

vii.          Strong fundamental understanding of financial concepts

viii.          High level IT Literacy
