Job Summary
The IT/Network Support Officer will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of FMGL’ s network infrastructure. This role includes the support, management, and troubleshooting of all network-related hardware and software, ensuring optimal network performance and security.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Perform regular network troubleshooting to resolve connectivity issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
• Implement and manage firewall and VPN solutions to secure the network.
• Ensure network security by implementing appropriate measures and protocols.
• Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments and audits.
• Stay updated with the latest network security practices and protocols.
• Provide technical support to users, addressing network-related issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the IT team to identify and resolve complex network problems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation and diagrams.
• Prepare detailed reports on network performance, status, and incidents.
• Research and recommend network and security upgrades and enhancements.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of network projects and upgrades.

Qualifications:
• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a IT/Network Support Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture, connectivity, protocols, and security.
• Proficiency with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Proficiency with RMM tools for efficient remote work support
• Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and network operating systems.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
