PWC, a state-owned enterprise established to manage and invest revenues derived from the nation's resources. Its goal is to ensure long-term economic stability and value creation by channeling income into strategic investments, infrastructure development, and wealth preservation for future generations. On behalf of our client, we now invite applications from experienced professionals to fill the vacancy for the position of Head of Legal. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Legal would be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring sound financial management. The ideal candidate will develop and lead the implementation of the legal strategy in alignment with the organization’s mandate, investment activities, and corporate governance. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Job Responsibilities

          i.               The candidate will develop and lead the implementation of the legal strategy in alignment with the organisation's mandate, investment activities, and corporate governance.

        ii.               The candidate will serve as the chief legal advisor to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership on all legal and compliance matters.

     iii.               The candidate will oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of key legal agreements, including investment contracts, shareholder agreements, loan agreements, joint ventures, and MOUS.

     iv.               The candidate will represent the organisation in high-level negotiations, dispute resolution processes, and regulatory engagements.

        v.               The candidate must ensure the organisation's governance structures and processes align with legal and ethical standards.

Education, Professional Qualifications, and Experience Required

          i.               Minimum of 10 years post-qualification legal experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or general counsel role.

        ii.               Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Master's degree in law (LLM), Corporate Governance, Compliance, or a related field is highly desirable.
