Job Description/Requirements
Algorithmics Accra Instructor:
• Algorithmics, the International Extracurricular School of Programming and Digital Skills, is coming to Ghana!
• Join us in aiding children and young people from age 6 right up to age 18 take their first, or continuing, steps in learning digital skills with our innovative methodology and curriculum!
Working Conditions:
• Classes are 90 minutes, and each class will have no more than 10 students
• Classes will be primarily in-person, in locations and classrooms in central Accra. Online classes may be introduced at a later stage.
Salary:
• Starting salary is 150 GHS per class. It is envisaged that Instructors will teach up to 5 classes each Saturday and during the school holidays. Weekday online classes may be introduced at a later stage to be delivered in the late afternoon/early evening.
• Training completion bonus of 500 GHS.
Training:
There will be a period of online training on the Algorithmics online platform. If shortlisted, training stages as follows;
• Stage One: Completion of online testing in indicated subject areas, to be completed within three working days.
• Stage Two: In-person interview during the w/c 3rd June 2024
• Stage Three: Lesson training held online, to be completed within one week.
• International certification is offered upon completion.
Requirements:
• Work experience as a teacher/tutor/STEAM Coach/STEAM Facilitator/STEAM Instructor in any capacity. Please highlight what age group of children you have worked with
• Excellent spoken English with strong communication skills
• Availability on Saturdays and weekdays late afternoons. During the Christmas/Easter/Summer holidays, availability on weekdays is required.
• Own laptop
• Advanced knowledge of/experience in at least one of the following;
• Python
• C/C++/C#
• Unity
• Scratch
• Game Design Studios
• Video content creation/Video shooting, with experience of using at least one of the following software;

• Pinnacle Studio
• Adobe Premiere PRO
