Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service and Operations Officer responsible for ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient day – to- day operations of the Fintech platform. This role supports transaction processing, operational controls, partner coordination, and process optimization while maintaining high standards of accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. The Operations Officer works closely with product, technology, compliance, and customer support teams to improve operational workflows, resolve issues, and scale operations in a fast-paced digital financial environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

       i.          Oversee daily operational activities to ensure smooth execution of fintech products and services.

     ii.          Monitor transaction processing, payment processing, settlements, reconciliations, and customer onboarding.

    iii.          Ensure accuracy, timeless, and reliability of financial and non-financial operations.

   iv.          Transaction processing and monitoring of remittances, B2B, B2C payments.

     v.          Support and adhere to internal policies, Bank of Ghana regulations standards, compliance requirements (KYC, AML/CFT, data protection, fraud prevention, payment regulations)

   vi.          Identify operational risks and escalate issues to management and compliance teams.

  vii.          Analyze existing workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

viii.          Collaborate with technology teams to automate manual processes and improve system performance.

   ix.          Liaise with partner Banks, payment processors and mobile money operators to resolve payment failures.

     x.          Coordinate with internal teams including product, engineering, finance, customer support and compliance.

   xi.          Manage service – level agreements (SLAs) and operational KPIs.

  xii.          Investigate root causes of operational failures and implement corrective actions.

xiii.          Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.

xiv.          Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management.

 xv.          Support audits by providing operational data and documentation.

xvi.          Assist with onboarding new products, partners, or markets from an operations perspective. Support with operational readiness for product launches and regulatory approvals.

 

Qualifications

       i.          Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Operations or a related field.

     ii.          The ideal Candidate must have completed National Service.

    iii.          1 – 2 years’ experience in Operations, Financial services, FinTech, banking, payments, or elated environment.

   iv.          Understanding of operational workflows in FinTech, Financial services (transactions, reconciliations, settlements, onboarding).

     v.          Ability to analyze operational data, identify issues and propose improvements.

   vi.          Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks (AML/KYC)

  vii.          Excellent in operational tools, dashboards, and reporting systems

viii.          Good communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills

   ix.          Excellent with incident management or fraud operations.

Working Hours

       i.          Flexibility and Availability is required due to our 24/7 operation.

     ii.          Must be willing to participate in a mandatory, rotating on-call schedule to handle critical escalations.

  iii.          Candidates must be comfortable working weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed to support business continuity.
