Job Purpose: The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials and goods. This role involves operating heavy trucks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the vehicle in good condition.

Areas of Responsibility include:

·                 Operate heavy trucks to transport materials to and from specified locations.

·                 Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition.

·                 Ensure compliance with all road and safety regulations.

·                 Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.

·                 Report on any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate department.

·                 Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.

·                 Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation and vehicle use.

 

Experience and Education

·                 Valid driver's license with a category D endorsement by DVLA for heavy trucks.

·                 A minimum of 5 years of experience in driving heavy trucks.

·                 Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.

·                 Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
