v. Computer Networks and Systems Administration

vii. Cloud Computing
viii. Web and Mobile Application Development
Qualification and Experience
i. Applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree (MPhil/MSc) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
ii. A PhD will be a distinct advantage
iii. Three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience in academic administration, teaching, and/or research will also be an added advantage.
iv. Evidence of strong managerial, interpersonal, and communication skills.
v. Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and build effective academic and administrative teams.
vi. Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and continuous institutional improvement.
Desirable Attributes
i. A record of scholarly publications and research contributions in Information Technology or related fields.
ii. Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and quality assurance systems.
iii. Demonstrated capacity to attract funding, grants, or partnerships for research and institutional development.
iv. Familiarity with higher education policies, regulations, and governance frameworks at national and international levels.
v. Strong networking skills with professional bodies, industry, and academic communities.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
i. Teach and supervise students at the undergraduate (and, where applicable, postgraduate) levels;
ii. Conduct and publish scholarly research in their area of expertise;
iii. Contribute to curriculum review, programme development, and departmental initiatives; and
iv. Provide academic advising and participate in university service and community engagement activities.
