The Position:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher with a minimum of three years’ working experience in planning and teaching the IGCSE and A-level Mathematics Curriculum to join our dynamic team at the Accra campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to secondary school students, promoting a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
i. Design and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the A-Level Mathematics syllabus
ii. Develop clear learning objectives and differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
iii. Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to monitor student understanding
iv. Provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic growth
v. Prepare students effectively for A-Level examinations through targeted revision and practice
vi. Promote a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment
vii. Implement school policies on behavior, attendance, and academic integrity
viii. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
ix. Participate actively in departmental meetings, parent forums, and school events
x. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance curriculum delivery
xi. Identify and assist students requiring additional support
xii. Encourage critical thinking and real-world application of mathematical concepts
xiii. Stay updated with advancements in Mathematics education and exam board requirements
xiv. Engage in continuous training to refine teaching methodologies
xv. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
xvi. Represent the school’s values and academic standards in all interactions
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
i. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Education, Mathematics option. Master’s degree qualification in Mathematics preferred.
ii. At least 2 years of teaching experience at the A-level and a good track record of students' success at the A-level and IGCSE level.
iii. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience:
i. Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary or post-secondary level.
ii. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and lesson planning.
iii. Experience with educational technology and online teaching platforms is a plus.
