About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our café team in Cantonments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with Ghanaian accounting standards. You’ll play a key role in keeping our operations efficient and transparent as the café continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
i. Record daily sales, purchases, and expense transactions.
ii. Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
iii. Reconcile bank statements and monitor petty cash.
iv. Manage accounts payable and receivable; follow up on supplier and vendor payments.
v. Ensure compliance with GRA tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, etc.).
vi. Process staff salaries, SSNIT contributions, and statutory deductions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
i. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ii. Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry (e.g., hotel, café, or restaurant).
iii. Strong understanding of Ghanaian accounting and tax regulations.
iv. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or Zoho Books preferred).
v. High level of integrity and discretion when handling financial data.
Preferred Skills:
i. Experience with POS and inventory management systems used in hospitality settings.
ii. Strong Excel and reporting skills.
iii. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
