Africa World Airlines is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of Stores Officer. The successful candidate will have the ability to consistently follow instructions and initiate a creative approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate must be in good physical condition and have stamina for shift duty. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Job Description

Competence (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)         i.          Ability to consistently follow instructions      ii.          Effective oral, electronic, and written communication with all levels of the organization     iii.          Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint Point and Excel    iv.          Self-motivated and able to work under pressure      v.          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills    vi.          Initiative and a creative approach to problem-solving   vii.          Team working skills viii.          A willingness to keep up to date with advances in technology Qualification and Experience         i.          Diploma or higher in a related discipline      ii.          Proven work experience in a similar position or related stock-keeping role     iii.          Good physical condition and stamina suitable for shift duty    iv.          Driving license is a plus Key Tasks        i.          Receive incoming materials and equipment to ensure compliance with the highest quality      ii.          Inspect received stock and report any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately     iii.          Allocate adequate storage bins or locations to receive items and materials    iv.          Issue requested materials according to approved requisitions      v.          Conduct periodic physical stock counts and compile reports    vi.          Package items or equipment that are to be transported or shipped out to out-stations or satellite stores   vii.          Deliver items or equipment to out-stations or satellite stores where required viii.          Ensure routine housekeeping of the stores    ix.          Control stores environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature      x.          Maintain accurate records and documentation to support transparency and accountability    xi.          Other relevant tasks assigned by your superior
