Nabs Group is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of Purchasing Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in preparing and issuing purchase orders. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
i. The candidate will assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders.
ii. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of orders, supplier agreements, and delivery status.
iii. The candidate will communicate with suppliers to track orders and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
iv. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the evaluation of vendor quotes and helping with supplier comparisons
v. The candidate will follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery.
vi. The candidate will help manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and suggesting reorders when needed.
vii. The candidate will perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
viii. The candidate will assist in sourcing and researching new suppliers or products.
ix. The candidate must ensure compliance with the company's purchasing policies and procedures
Qualification
i. Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement or other relevant fields
ii. Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar
iii. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
iv. Good interpersonal and coordination skills
v. Good analytical skills
vi. A keen eye for detail
